Overview
The ARRI Full Spectrum Neutral Density (FSND) Filter Set - Basic includes the IFM Optical Clear, 0.6, 1.2 and 1.8 FSND filters, IFM Shim, filter insertion tool (Ground Glass/Frameglow Tool K4.52722.0), IFM/Extenders Depth Gauge DG-1, and a case with capacity for (8) FSND filters.
The ALEXA Internal Filter Module (IFM-1) is a system that can hold one FSND filter behind the lens. FSND filters are high quality filters that maintain a neutral color balance at all densities. Filtering behind the lens rather than in front saves time and reduces weight, reflections and complexity while also decreasing narcissism. FSND filters can be used in the Internal Filter Module (IFM-1) of ALEXA XT and SXT cameras, or any classic ALEXA camera with an IFM upgrade. FSND filters are not compatible with any generation of ALEXA Studio.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When FSND filters are used, the supplied shim must also be used to change the camera's flange focal depth accordingly.
