The Bright Tangerine Misfit 2-Stage Mattebox is designed to be ultra compact and lightweight, yet has the field of view to cover wide lenses. Combining adjustable lightweight flags with 2-stage to 3-stage flexibility, Misfit retains the simplicity of a clamp-on matte box, and adds a range of innovative features. The carbon fiber blades
are affixed to light alloy axles that stay with the flag.

Misfit converts from 3-stage to 2-stage in seconds. Simply remove the flag, remove the weight, undo the screws, slide open the back, and insert another filter tray. The 3/8" mounting point means you can attach a small LED light, a monitor, or Cinetape for tracking distance. Simply twist, slide, and place it wherever you want, or remove it in seconds to save weight.

Misfit is engineered to achieve an incredibly high strength to weight ratio. Combining a carbon fiber core with sophisticated hard-anodised alloys, Misfit is extremely tough and built to last. It covers lenses as wide as a 14mm Cooke S4 with all three filter stages in use. You can also shoot with RED Pro Zooms at 5K without vignetting.

With the addition of the lightweight arm (not included), Misfit becomes a fully functioning studio matte box. Once attached the arm can be removed in seconds. Simply release the lock, slide the matte box off the arm, and you're ready to go in 114mm clamp-on mode. Misfit is also able to slide forward and swing away in an effortless motion to make lens changes quick and simple, giving you more time to focus on what's important. The vertical height adjustment system allows up to 12.5mm of movement in swing-away mode, and 10.5mm adjustment with the 15mm LWS rod bracket.

The Bright Tangerine Misfit / ATOM 15mm LWS Bracket Attachment is designed to mount to the clamp lens attachment of the Misfit mattebox (ranging from 114mm to 80mm), enabling use of a 15mm Lightweight Rod Bracket Type 3 (sold separately) to convert your Misfit mattebox from a clamp-on or swing away mode to a rod-mount configuration. This enables quick and easy lens changes in any shooting scenario. This bracket is constructed from precision-cut and hard anodized aluminium and stainless steel to keep your setup ultra-lightweight and provide maximum durability.

The Bright Tangerine 15mm Lightweight Rod Bracket Type 3 allows connection of 15mm or 19mm studio brackets to the Misfit ATOM.

The Bright Tangerine Black Hole Mini Rubber Donut - 114mm is an optional accessory designed to fit lenses with 58mm to 114mm front outer diameter to Bright Tangerine or ARRI matteboxes. Constructed with a unique elasto-polymer material that is highly expandable and offers additional light protection. The Black Hole Mini quickly attaches and detaches from your lenses and is easy to store.
