This Week's Technology Focus
StorageDNA dnaLTFS
dnaLTFS is a brand new tape file-system that enables the simplest and fastest LTO tape workflows. In contrast to standard LTFS, dnaLTFS was developed and designed to let users interact directly with files on tape using their favorite applications. Functionalities such as transcoding and ingest of files are now possible directly to/from LTO. StorageDNA plans to release dnaLTFS-SE (Standalone Drive Edition) for general availability in by the end of Q1, with dnaLTFS-LE (Library Edition) slated for public showing at NAB 2018.
