Overview

Overview

Are you a DP who is interested in becoming a drone pilot? Do you have clients that are requesting aerial work? Do you want to expand your studio’s portfolio or business? Are you already shooting aerials but want to become officially certified? Earlier this year, the FAA created its first certificate specifically for the use and operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS): the Remote Pilot Certification. For those who want to fly a UAS/drone for business or commercial work, you will be required to have the appropriate FAA Certification.

To become an FAA Certified Remote Pilot, you must pass a test. If you are not already a certified manned aircraft pilot under 14 CFR Part 61, a knowledge test must be taken at an FAA approved testing center. If you are already a pilot, an online test is required.

The FAA Drone Pilot Certification Test Prep class is an eight-hour intensive course that will cover all of the subjects necessary to pass the knowledge exam. Students will have access to study guides and sample exam questions to help prepare for the certification exam.
