Small Team, Big Sound: Production and Post Audio as a One-Man Band

Description
Beginner
In this virtual course, you will learn how to handle audio when you're shooting solo.
Overview

Overview

***PLEASE NOTE: This virtual training session will take place in the PACIFIC TIME ZONE.***

When shooting in a one-man band operation, you have to select your gear purposefully given the limitations of your carrying capacity, mobility, and attention. Audio gear tends to get the least amount of consideration.

This class is designed to teach you how to choose gear, record in the field, and clean up audio in post when you’re working as a one-man band, with a specific look at these processes during this time of social distancing. Shooting with limited gear and crew is challenging, but the class will address common issues and how to troubleshoot them so you can best prepare for your next solo production.

This class takes place on the Zoom video conference platform, which is free to join and easy to use. Be sure to have a fast internet connection, as this class will be using the Stereo and High-fidelity audio capabilities of the Zoom platform (which can take up quite a bit of bandwidth). Instructions will be sent to you before the class begins. Once the class starts, you will see the instructor, the gear being used, and the instructor's presentation. You will be able to ask questions via a live, moderated chat. After the class ends, you will also receive a copy of the instructor's PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, and a recording of the class.
