Small to No Crew: Intro to Remote Video Production with Jem Schofield of theC47

Description
Remote Video Production can encompass many things but in this workshop, the focus will be on an introduction to choosing and setting up a modern remote studio space to effectively work in today’s version of the “home office”.
Overview

Overview

Today’s “home office” spaces are quickly becoming remote studio spaces (based on the how we now conduct business outside of traditional office environments). It’s no longer the occasional Skype meeting but an almost constant stream of Zoom meetings, productions and content creation. Whether it’s your personal working environment or you are setting up a remote studio space for a client, talent, etc., understanding the building blocks of a successful remote studio are critical. This will become even more important as we move towards “camera to cloud” and “production to cloud” working environments.

When moving away from built in webcams, poor lighting and mediocre sound it is important to pick the right space and the right equipment for your remote production studios. Jem Schofield of theC47 will take attendees through the process of planning, choosing and putting together the parts needed to have a successful space to work remotely. The workshop will include live demonstrations of various equipment and setups for remote production.

Who should attend: This workshop is intended for content creators, educators, producers, directors, aspiring filmmakers and anyone interested in understanding how to set up remote spaces for production related projects.
