Overview

Overview

Companies are now building in-house video production teams (generally made up of 1-5 people), to create ongoing and high quality content for their web presence and social media outlets. Corporate video production companies have also changed in terms of their structure and resources. While the equipment has gotten much better and less expensive, the crews have gotten smaller and smaller!

Jem Schofield of theC47 will take attendees through the process of planning, lighting and shooting using largely low-key & cinematic techniques. This full day class will feature lighting, lighting control, composition and camera set-ups to teach you how to light for a wide range of projects.

The workshop will be delivered in a conversational style that will allow the presenters to work effectively with their crew (attendees), while still teaching their process and craft. Exactly like being on an actual, working set!

Topics will include:

  • How to effectively bounce, block, cut and diffuse light sources
  • Camera Composition and Movement
  • Soft & Hard Lighting Techniques
  • Specialty Lighting
  • Camera & lens tips & tricks
  • Working effectively as a small crew and getting great results

Check out some of Jem’s recent work with Lynda.com like Vlogging for Business, Cinematic Video Lighting and Advanced Cinematic Video Lighting.
