Our AbelCare support and training program focuses on flexibility and responsiveness

We know that it's not easy to predict the type of support you'll need in advance, so we created a program that addresses this reality and is suitable for all levels of equipment owners and all types of situations. AbelCare combines a full range of equipment maintenance, front line tech support, training, and additional support benefits into a program that's customizable to suit your needs and budget. 

Program Benefits

AbelCare is structured as a flexible spending program, offered in one to three year terms. As a member, you receive program services at pre-discounted rates and can choose the membership level that best meets the degree of support you require. Not only does this allow you to budget for your service and training in advance, but AbelCare also offers you the peace of mind knowing you're covered regardless of what unforeseen support needs may arise.

You can use any combination of qualifying training and support services at any point throughout the length of your agreement; in which case, your AbelCare account will be debited by the amount of that specific service.

If your AbelCare account is exhausted before the program term is up, you can choose to re-enroll or not. Either way, your program benefits will remain in effect for the duration of the term.

 

Qualifying Services

The following training and support services qualify for inclusion in every level of the AbelCare Program:

  • Equipment Maintenance

    We provide services for your complete equipment package, including cameras, recorder, monitors, tripods, and accessories.

  • Lens Service

    We offer factory level service, including full lens maintenance, calibration, and overhaul on nearly all cinema lenses, as well as third party optical devices and lens adapters.

  • Monitor Calibration

    Using the Calman system from Portrait Displays, our ISF certified technicians perform detailed analysis and authorized monitor calibration services. Our technicians address key specifications such as luminance, gamma, color space, and color temperature, pre- and post-calibration.

  • Tech Consults

    We offer one-on-one or group consultations on technologies including camera systems, optics, workflows, data management and archiving, and other elements of the production or post-production chain.

  • Tech Training

    We offer a wide variety of workshops on production tools and technology from our New York, Chicago, and Burbank locations, as well as virtually. We also offer custom training, which allows you to work with our training team to design the instruction your team specifically requires.

  • Integrated Services

    Our Integration team provides smart solutions and on-site installations of studio builds, multi-cam live productions, and digital workflow tools. We also can support you in the field for technical troubleshooting and/or maintenance of existing equipment.

  • Production Services

    We offer a suite of production services focused on multi-cam, live, remote, and live stream productions through our in-house team and network of pre-qualified freelance talent in every major market in North America.
