The Optimo 30-72 is part of Angenieux’s lightweight anamorphic zoom range. These lenses are constructed with the anamorphic element located at the back of the lens. The result is a compact zoom with close focus and the classic Angenieux look.

I had a chance to look over the new Angenieux Optimo Style 48-130mm lens, a hotly anticipated addition to the Optimo Style series. As a lens in the Style series, it is designed to complement the 16-40mm and 30-76mm zooms.
