Recently I was joined by Michael Best, ARRI Product Manager of Professional Camera Accessories, to take a closer look at ARRI's new Hi-5 wireless follow focus system.
Increased range, modular radios, backwards compatibility, and enhanced weatherproofing are just a few of the Hi-5's improvements, developed from client feedback on predecessor systems like the WCU-4. The Hi-5 is a 5th generation intelligent hand unit that enables focus pullers to work "further, stronger, faster".
