Last year, Hive Lighting showed us a prototype of their plasma light technology. Now Hive has debuted a lineup of production fixtures: a fresnel, par, sealed par pair, and even a retrofit kit for ellipsoidal fixtures.

The Codex Onboard S Recorder can record 4:2:2/4:4:4 10/12-bit Uncompressed HD onto a removable, solid-state Capture Drive (240GB or 480GB), as well as a single channel over 3G-SDI.

Canon has added two new zoom lenses to their digital cinema lens lineup. Previously, we reviewed the 14.5-60mm (T2.6) and 30-300 (T2.95-3.7) lenses. Now Canon has added two lightweight versions designed for handheld work.

The Sony PMW-100 is the latest addition to the XDCAM HD422 lineup. It has many of the same features found in the PMW-EX1R camera, but with the addition of 50 Mbps 422 XDCAM recording to SxS cards. This makes the camera a perfect companion for the PDW-F800, PDW-700 and PMW-500 cameras.

Yesterday, we showed you the Cabrio 19-90mm Zoom that is featured on the PMW-F3 in our NAB booth. Fujinon is also showing a companion lens, the Cabrio 85-300mm T2.9 zoom, at their booth.

Earlier this week, AJA announced the newest member of the Ki Pro family, the Ki Pro Quad. AJA worked closely with Canon, designing the Ki Pro Quad to accept a 4K raw signal from the C500 over SDI and providing a method to record and monitor the signal.

ARRI is now offering three ALEXA cameras with a 4:3 Super-35 sensor designed for anamorphic: ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA Studio and ALEXA M. The ALEXA Plus 4:3 offers many of the same features as the ALEXA Studio, including the anamorphic desqueeze license, high-speed license and DNxHD license. However, it still has an electronic viewfinder, as opposed to the spinning mirror optical viewfinder system found in the ALEXA Studio.

We stopped by the Sound Devices booth to check out the latest in their line of PIX recorders. The PIX 260 has much the same function as the PIX 240 and PIX 220, but it's designed to fit into a rack.

Zeiss has expanded their CP.2 line with a 15mm T2.9 rectilinear lens with full frame coverage, as well as a 135mm T2.1 portraiture lens. They have also released the first lenses in their super speed series - 35mm, 50mm and 85mm, all of which feature an aperture of T1.5.
