Overview
The Panasonic AW-RP655 Multi-Function Control System is capable of controlling up to five cameras or up to five pan/tilt heads without hub unit. Two ergonomically designed joysticks, one on each end of the unit, provide ultra smooth pan, tilt, zoom and iris and focus operation.
In addition to these basic camera controls, this unit features 50 preset positions. It offers up to 300 seconds of tracing memory and is capable of reversible motion direction.
For expansion purposes, this unit will accept two additional controllers. Panasonic's AW-PH360 and AW-PH-650 pan/tilt units can be controlled right out of the box while control of an AW-PH400 requires an optional protocol converter (AW-IF400).
This unit is desk or rack mountable.
Note: Requires AW-PS505A power supply
Two Joysticks for Accurate and Ultra-Smooth Control
Two ergonomically designed joysticks, one on each end of the unit, allow a user to use both hands to operate a receiver's PTZ functions. The one on the right is used to control a camera's pan and tilt function while the left joystick provides zoom, iris and focus operation. In addition to variable speed PTZ operation, a user can switch between fast and slow speed modes for even more accurate control.
Picture Control
In addition to PTZ operation, this unit can control the picture quality of each of the five cameras. This allows a user to compare images from all cameras and determine local camera conditions from a distance.
Preset Memory
A built-in memory function stores up to 50 preset positions for each of the five cameras for a total of 250 preset positions. This allows a user to hit a button and quickly move a camera to a desired pointing direction. When switching between two preset positions, this unit can perform a diagonal movement instead of first completing the first preset position. Memory functions includes pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris and white balance control.
Tracing Memory
Tracing memory will move a camera around a predetermined area for a certain period of time. This allows a casino security operator for example to hit a button which will start the camera moving along a path, starting at a gaming table and ending at slot machines. Up to 10 tracing presets can be programmed for each camera with a maximum of 300 seconds allowed for the combined cameras. In other words, this unit supports 10 operations of 30 seconds each or 1 operation of 300 seconds.
