RED DSMC & DSMC2 Magnesium PL Mount 2.0

The RED DSMC Magnesium PL Mount 2.0 allows you to use PL mount cinema lenses with your DSMC® or DSMC2® BRAIN. Lightweight magnesium construction and a solid locking mechanism provides durable support for PL mount glass. 

This mount is solidly built. It's easy to install and takes very little time. Be sure to tighten the mount with appropriate tools so that you create a firm seal, but do not over-tighten. Finger tightening may not be sufficient.

The mount attaches easily to the front of your camera BRAIN® This model features captive mounting screws, so you’ll never have to worry about searching for hardware. Captive screws also deliver a secure attachment and allow for a more convenient mount removal, if you want to change lens mounts between shots.

RED also offers an optional DSMC MOUNT CASE, which is available separately. This water-resistant case will store and protect multiple lens mounts. RED also offers mounts designed specifically for Leica, Nikon, and PL-Mount lenses.

NOTE: For RED EPIC® and SCARLET® cameras, the optional DSMC Fan 2.0 (Bottom) and the DSMC Mg PL Mount 2.0 are not natively compatible with each other, since the fan grill prevents the lens mount locking ring from rotating. To use these devices together, remove the lower tabs from the locking ring using your T8 TORX®driver.
