ARRI LMB-25 3-Stage Lightweight Matte Box

The ARRI LMB-25 3-Stage Lightweight Matte Box is a robust three-stage 4” x 5.65” clamp-on matte box suited to a wide range of applications, including handheld, crane work and Steadicam. The LMB-25 expands the feature set and creative possibilities of the LMB-15, while retaining the low price tag of an entry-level LMB-5.

NOTE: Lens Clamp Adapters sold separately.

The LMB-25 hood is easily removable via captive screws that remain attached to the hood at all times and therefore cannot get misplaced. On the ARRI ALEXA, the LMB-25 will cover wide-angle lenses up to 14mm.

Three-Filter Stage Guides

The filter stage guides have well- spaced, independent filter frame locks and are machined from solid aluminum. Moving from three to two-stage filtration is easy with the LMB-25 (2-stage filter guides sold separately).

Interchangeable Clamp Adapters

The LMB-25 can adapt to various lens diameters via a series of interchangeable clamp adapters (sold separately). The 134mm clamp adapter will fit the larger ARRI / FUJINON Alura Zooms without limiting the amount of light passing through the lens. Other sizes include 143mm, 136mm, 130mm, 125mm, 114mm, 110mm, 104mm, 95mm, 87mm and 80mm.

Top and Bottom Flag

Constructed from a sheet of carbon, the LMB-25 top flag offers rigidity without adding excess weight. The flag can be fitted to the top or the bottom of the matte box and folds onto the hood, protecting the lens front element when the camera is moved.

Set of Mattes

The LMB-25 has its own set of (5) mattes (sold separately) that can be clipped onto the hood, helping to reduce unwanted glare and reflections according to the focal length of the lens being used. A set of mattes optimized for the anamorphic format is also available.

Securing Loop

For shooting situations where safety is paramount, such as when the camera is flying on a crane, the matte box can be secured to the camera rig using a karabiner fixed through the 10mm securing loop located next to the LMB-25 hood.

3/8” Accessory Shoe and Tray Catcher

The LMB-25 can be fitted with an accessory mount (sold separately) for 3/8" accessories such as ultrasonic measuring devices. The tray catcher (sold separately) offers security by preventing the loss of a filter frame in precarious and potentially dangerous situations, for example when the matte box is flying on a crane.

Anti-Reflection Frame (K2.0008133)

The 4" x 5.65" non-geared anti-reflection frame (sold separately) allows one or two glass filters to be stacked and angled, providing a quick and elegant solution for reducing unwanted reflections.
